I've written 2 new songs-ish, getting lots of ideas popping out of nowhere. Doing an MSc atm, maybe thats feeding into the creativity based right hemispherical development of the brain.

Hello all, recently finished up recording 5 new songs, although minor adjustments need to be made. I may put them up here in early 2010, depending on the speed variance of officialdom processes. I've got the green shoots of a new musical direction but you'll have to wait and hear ;).

Hello all, *if anyone's listening.* Atm I'm working on some new songs, I've got better recording equipment now so the results will be interesting to see. New custom artwork which ties in the whole concept of The Projekt and music will be coming out soon, it may even be printed on t-shirts. This is also the year The Cassini Projekt moves to a new location...with the possible prospect of band members. So watch this space for further developments coming soon.

So how does 2008 fair? Started off by playing a gig in January, shortly left said afterwards as our musical styles were divergent (They were grunge metal ala pantera meets deftones, I was more into Queen and guitar histronics eg Dragonforce). Anywho I worked for most of this year teaching to fund my next masters for 09. While 2007 was a case of tremendous highs and lows, with a lot of artistic and academic university study achieved, (the same would characterize 06, 05, 04 and 03, this year was a bit quiet. So what did I get done? I completed this album I was promising I guess. Completed several sketches/drawings, did a few photoshop tutorials, began learning MAYA. Also played with a few bands, but none took my interest. Got my grade 8 on guitar. And that was it. Not much to write home about although I hope to get a painting completed before the end of the year, if time allows.

So what does next year bring? An end to teaching, the beginning of a new masters, new songs (one already in the works), a lot of new artwork and who knows, mayhaps some new musicians will enter the fold of the third iteration, Cassini. So 08 was an interim and learning period ie---plan for the future or you may end up in a job you don't particularly like. (Thats not to say I hate teaching, just that its stressful, difficult and not as rewarding as some other proffessions). So it was productive in certain respects, laying the foundation for what lies ahead.

I recently purchased an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R to replace what I've been using up till now

260 Multitracker

This means the the sound quality on ze songs will increase substantially. (Garth Marenghi style) I like to think of it as moving from 16 bit to 32 bit, as in the consoles wars of ten years ago, or moving from 60s production quality to early 80s. So basically I now have the tech to get fairly close to proffessional sound quality, awesome! I guess.
